June 17th, 2009

The success of the Samsung Omnia i900 has been remarkable, so much so that he could say that it is one of the few iPhone competitors to be able to be competitive with a good mix of similarity with the original and unique style.
The streets of the evolution of this product lead to two similar but different solutions: the first is the Samsung i8000 Omnia a true version II, details of which have just been revealed in a non-official, which should debut next fall.

The line of development is dictated by a significant increase in hardware performance in all sectors, starting from the AMOLED screen that becomes a significant 3.7-inch 480x800 pixels and 16 well-million colors inspired by a processor Qualcomm MSM6290 and 150 Mb RAM on Windows Mobile 6.1.
Connectivity is more than complete and supports UMTS / HSDPA 7.2 Mb including HSPA, Wi-Fi 802.11b with the now inevitable Bluetooh EDR.

From the point view of sdi media we will have a 8.1-megapixel camera well coupled to a secondary frontal good number of video codecs supported MPEG4/H.263/H.264/WMV/Real/XviD and particularly DivX.
Complete the excellent framework integrated GPS, the radio receiver, microSD expansion slot, 1500 mAh battery and small.

The competition seems to do well at the area that is burning stages launching into hardware that is in the 90s were the prerogative of the home and office PCs, thanks to ever-smaller components.
Eye rather the growing number of cheap clones, which have only the size of the iPhone and sometimes even the touch screen, in many cases the equipment connectivity and hardware are little more than a standard mobile phone.
