May 15th, 2009

Growing interest for applications related to OLED lighting technology, are in fact several research groups and universities involved in this aspect that will lead to new lamps much more efficient than current.

The company Novaled - a major contributor to the development and research in OLEDs - in collaboration with the Technical University of Dresden, have achieved a significant result with a prototype lamp with extraordinary brightness of 1000 candelas per m2 and coming to 124 lumens per watt.

The potential is so huge both from a technical standpoint with the extraction of light through three-dimensional systems with high technology, both for the aesthetics, which has already led some designers to create concept interesting inseire in the home.
