OLED Design Contest

The European Community has launched a research project (called CombOLED) in order to reduce the overall costs of OLED displays, and make the first large-area transparent screen.

The '"OLED Design Contest - CombOLED Edition" will be the main channel for the collection of potential applications for developers adopting OLEDs as light sources.

The competition is launched with the aim of connecting the activities in-process research and development project with the possible future applications of the industry adopting OLED device, exploiting the enormous potential of this new source of illumination.

The solutions are required, preferably in the following three areas:
• Mood lighting / emotional lighting
• Static Signage
• Low-content information display
The competition aims to be a tool focused to highlight originality and versatility of this new technology

taking full advantage of its features proposing appropriate solutions to the mass market.
Within the competition have been defined the following three categories:
• Students;
• Professionals;
• Participants in Workshop CombOLED.
